The Pioneer Cup

10 gigs from HYGA clubs took part in the Pioneer Cup. Racing from a mass start at Batemans Tower, covering 8000m to finish at The Pioneer Trust. The conditions were sunny, hot and very energy sapping for the crews. This race used a tracking App for the first time to allow for a live internet feed. This added another exciting dimension to the the race as gigs changed position continually through out the c: one hour race.
Despite Vanduara laying in 5th place for most of the race, her crew put in a magnificent performance in the final quarter finishing 3rd behind Defiance and Willow who won. A breath-taking performance, well done!
Velocity completed the course and finished in style.
