The Great River Race 2022
Although this years Great River Race did not turn out as
expected, we were happy to be part of a memorial flotilla. 170 boats from all corners of the UK &
Europe arrived in Millwall East London on Saturday 10th September to
row the 21.6 mile to Ham in Surrey. Thank
you to all the organizers for managing the unfolding events of the last few days
with professionalism and dignity. Thank you also to our BCRC members who, once again
worked tirelessly to make this event happen.
Team ‘Chiswick or Bust’ had a lovely weekend and were proud to be part
of this special occasion. Emerging from
Covid the new charity organizers, who only formed early this year after the
previous organizers stepped down, did a great job. With a full year ahead of them you can guarantee
that next year this event will return bigger and better. September 16th 2023 Save the date!!
