After a brilliant Xmas party last evening many of our rowers turned out early this morning for our trip to Maldon without a sore head amongst them, well done. We all agreed that it was a great day of racing and all the crews rowed their socks off, the weather was good, courses were short but fast and the results are good for both Vanduara and Velocity. 

I would like to thank the ladies that organised the party, you did a great job to organise a seamless and very enjoyable event. All of the rowers and helpers today also deserve a word of credit and of course Andy who went swimming (well almost) when helping to get Vanduara on the trailer - that must have been really cold! It's a good job William had some spare clothes although they looked a little odd on Andy.

The results are in, as they say on Strictly and I copy below:

Vanduara

Ladies 6th - time 14.41

Men's 2nd - time 12.00 (beaten into 2nd by 1.0 second)

Mixed 3rd - time 12.00

Please note that the Men's time and the Mixed time are exactly the same - amazing, how often does that happen?

Velocity

Ladies - unfortunately not enough crew to race today

Men's 15th - time 15.36

Mixed 13th - 13.37
